Following the teaser trailer released two months ago, the official trailer for Rose’s upcoming TV show « Vigil » is now out ! It looks intense and absolutely amazing.
Rose plays DS Kirsten Longacre who will lead an investigation on land into a conspiracy that goes to the very heart of Britain’s national security, following the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board the submarine HMS Vigil.
It has also been announced that « Vigil » will open the television festival « Series Mania » in Lille (France) where it will get its world premiere ! The festival will be taking place on August 26 – September 2. No release date has been announced yet but we can hopefully expect the show to come to our screens in September.
A first teaser trailer and first look pictures of Rose’s upcoming series « Vigil » have been released ! A premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, but the six-part series will soon air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Rose plays Kirsten Longacre, a detective on her first murder investigation : “She’s finding her feet but she’s gung-ho and very willing and determined, which is a fun character to play.”
BBC One has released a tense first trailer and six new images for Vigil, the forthcoming thriller series from World Productions, the makers of Line of Duty, Bodyguard and The Pembrokeshire Murders. The trailer will air on BBC One tonight (Sunday), following the credits of the Line of Duty series six finale.
Vigil stars Suranne Jones, Rose Leslie, Shaun Evans, Martin Compston and Paterson Joseph, and will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
The mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board the submarine HMS Vigil bring the police into conflict with the Navy and British security services. DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) and DS Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) lead an investigation on land and at sea into a conspiracy that goes to the very heart of Britain’s national security.
Vigil’s stellar ensemble cast also features Anjli Mohindra, Connor Swindells, Adam James, Gary Lewis, Stephen Dillane, Lolita Chakrabarti, Daniel Portman, Lorne MacFadyen and Lauren Lyle.
The fictional six-part series is written and created by Bafta-nominated writer Tom Edge, with episodes by Ed Macdonald and Chandni Lakhani. It is directed by Bafta-winner James Strong, and Isabelle Sieb. Vigil is produced by Angie Daniell, executive produced by Simon Heath and Jake Lushington for World Productions, Gaynor Holmes for the BBC, James Strong and Tom Edge.
Vigil is set and was filmed in Scotland, and is supported by the National Lottery through Screen Scotland. International distribution is handled by ITV Studios.
