After the episodes stills of the first two episodes, the promotional photoshoot of The Good Fight’s third season has been released ! You can now find two HQ pictures in the gallery. A couple of lovely behind the scenes pictures have also been shared by Rose’s make up artist on the show. Reminder that the season, who will have 10 episodes, will premiere on March 14th on CBS All Access (on a Thursday, unlike the previous years when the episodes were released on Sundays).
Entertainment Weekly’s new issue features an article about The Good Fight’s upcoming season ; scans from the magazine as well as a new still of Rose as Maia Rindell can be found in the gallery. Here’s what is said about Rose’s character and Roland Blum, played by Michael Sheen :
Blum “is like a cancer”, says Michelle King, and his first victim – or perhaps we should say “acolyte” – is Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie), who’s feeling underappreciated at work. “He takes her under his wing, kind of against her will”, says Sheen. Maia, says Leslie, “is in awe of the way Roland Blum operates. He’s devious and corrupt, and Maia feels that may be the path for her. She’s tackling some big moral issues inside her head.”
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY — Rose Leslie is clearing up a story about herself, husband Kit Harington, and the ending of Game of Thrones. We asked The Good Fight and former GoT actress for her side of that report where Harington said she asked him how the show’s upcoming top-secret final season ends. Harington said he told her and then “she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days.” The story is almost true, except for a rather key bit: Their conversation was about the ending of season 7, not season 8.
“I genuinely don’t know the ending [of the show],” Leslie said. “He told me the ending of last season and I remember getting a bit uppity about that … He happened to tell me – and this is a spoiler for anybody who hasn’t seen the last season – he happened to tell me that one of the dragons fall into the ice lake, and then we see the dragon being dragged out of the water and the dragon breathes fire — or ice, I can’t quite remember which one it is, I think it’s fire — onto The Wall, and then, of course, that’s when all the [Army of the Dead] can then cross over. So he told me about the dragon and I got rather livid with him, because I said, ‘You weren’t supposed to tell me everything! And that’s a huge piece of information!’ And he’s like, ‘Well, you asked!’ And I was like, ‘I know.’”
Leslie added: “To be fair I was probably rather ridiculous in the way I phrased it. I was like, ‘Tell me some things, but don’t tell me other things.’ But I actually don’t know the ending to [the show] because, believe it or not, it’s such a monumental phenomenal show, and I want to be like the rest of the world and watch it in real time and get that build up and anticipation. I want to finally come to the final episode and truly – and I honestly mean this – truly not know which way it goes.”
So did Leslie really not speak to Harington for three days over the ice dragon spoiler?
“That was an exaggeration,” she said. “I love that he said three days. Look at him trying to get a soundbite. That’s hilarious!”
Previously, Harington made some Leslie-related headlines by noting his wife rather not say her character’s famous catchphrase, “You know nothing, Jon Snow.” Leslie played Ygritte, the love interest of Harington’s Jon Snow, on the show for three seasons. The duo got married last July.
The Good Fight returns for season 3 on March 14. Game of Thrones returns for its final season April 14.
After months of waiting, we now have our first look at The Good Fight Season 3 ! The trailer and release date have been unveiled yesterday during the show’s panel at the 2019 Winter TCA Press Tour in California. The creators of the show, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald & Michael Sheen were in attendance to talk about the show and the new season which – mark your calendars ! – will premiere on March 14th on CBS All Access ! We also got the first stills of Rose as lawyer Maia Rindell (they have been added in high quality in the gallery and leave us wondering what could possibly be going on in these scenes) as well as some new informations about the season :
Season 3 titles are inspired by Friends, starting with “The One…” (for instance, “The One Inspired by Roy Cohn”) Michelle King said that they liked Season 2’s Trump administration day-count titles but it made it tough for them to remember.
The season will feature one soliloquy per episode as well as a few musical numbers.
There will be one Schoolhouse Rock type video per episode in the new season to explain things troll farms and NDAs.
Season 3 will have 10 episodes (Season 2 had 13 and Season had 10 as well).
Finally some news ! After a short break in London, Rose recently came back to New York City where the third season of The Good Fight is being filmed until March. While living in NYC she has been seen enjoying NBA games a couple of times already and she made a new appearance at The Madison Square Garden yesterday (January 27) where she watched the Miami Heat Vs New York Knicks game with her younger brother, John. Below you can find four new HQ pictures which have been added to the gallery as well as the cutest video taken by a fan !
You might know that Rose will celebrate her 32nd birthday on February 9th and this year, I wanted to do something different and impactful. I have decided to launch a fundraising to help one of the charities she is supporting – it would be amazing to see fellow fans of her getting together to do something good in her honor. Since Rose is planning to attend an event organized by MS Society UK next May in London, this is the charity I’ve chosen for this fundraising. The goal is to raise as much money as possible which will be sent directly to the charity on February 9th thanks to a Just Giving page you can find below.
All donations are welcome and will mean a lot, even the smallest ones ! I’m also planning to send a card to Rose through the post to explain our project to her – if you have any birthday messages you’d like to send to her besides the donation, don’t hesitate to send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will include it in the package I’ll send to her agency.
